To find that “golden thread” between a company's day to day operations and ethical financial management is what gets me excited. I realised I am not the “normal” Chartered Accountant just focussing on finance and accounting, but I am passionate about creating value and impact through sustainable and innovative solutions that address the challenges and opportunities any business face in these times and seeing companies grow and find their strategic financial success. It is because of this reason that I decided to offer businesses/companies full turnkey consulting services, enabling them to reach their goals. I believe that the best approach is to be hands on in all aspects of business, creating an efficient alignment between all divisions within a business, implementing processes that enhances a company’s ability to operate at their maximum capacity. After completing my articles as an Auditor in 2011, I started my career in Fibre and Telecommunications as a FM at a leading SME in the industry. I gained experience in the industry through diversifying myself and managing other divisions within the company. When acquired by a multinational listed ICT company in 2015, I further excelled my knowledge and experience by being the FM of other business units within the IT Infrastructure environment. I believe during this time I gained a broad knowledge of all aspects in the industry and the corporate world especially when it comes to costing and finance, budgets, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and implementation of processes and controls. I was also part of various operations teams and assisted widely with project costing and budgets, overhead project management and project reporting. In 2019 I decided to start my own company within the industry focussing on the construction and implementation of fibre infrastructure. Being the owner of your own business had its own challenges, but I gained a lot of experience working with various stakeholders such as other contractors, engineers, consultants, and clients. After more than 4 years, I missed the “rush” of the finance world and decided to go back working as a CA (SA) doing everything from Accounting to Independent Reviews and Tax. I realised that there are still companies that can’t find their strategic success and have a need for CA (SA) knowledge. This encouraged me to connect with these companies.
