She often works in materials like reclaimed woods, hand-tufted wool, and heirloom furniture paired with locally made, custom furniture, organic and sculptural in design. One of the sustainable homes designed by Marcelle and her architect husband, David Baird, is featured in the book Shades of Green, Tennessee.Marcelle's designs have been featured in Nashville Lifestyles Magazine and Apartment Therapy. Most recently, she was featured in Best of Houzz and Greater Nashville House & Home. She's been asked to curate Wanderlust & Whimsey, a popular Joss & Main event. Earlier in her career, she worked for one of the world's leading architecture firms and was part of an award-winning team, whose modern and spa-like heathcare design was published nationwide.Marcelle surrounds herself with a talented team of artisans. She often collaborates with her architect husband, David Baird, owner of Building Ideas, who was the lead designer for the Country Music Hall of Fame and the winner of several international and national awards for architecture and product design.
