I found out not everyone dreamed of writing stuff for other people to read when I was 13.My then-best friend explained to me that no, she had no desire to create articles or books, and asked, disgusted, “You don’t want to be a writer, do you?” I did. To this day, writing’s still what I love to do. I also deeply enjoy the work that comes with it, such as: ➤ Figuring out how to best use writing to sell a service, a product, or an idea; ➤ Doing research to come up with useful content that people will actually want to read;➤ Helping companies better communicate with and support their users;➤ Revising, editing, and proofreading. As a copywriter and content strategist, I've created compelling content for apps, websites, blogs, and newsletters; managed social media accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers; and developed online marketing strategies for brands, products, and services. I'm the author of an online course taken by over 12K people (see “Understand and Manage Your Emotions” on Highbrow) and the translator of the ebook “Happy Hair - The Definite Guide to Quitting Shampoo.” (My hair smells fine.) When I'm not working, I'm usually learning something new -- or looking for more work! If you have an interesting project you need help with, please don't hesitate to contact me. P.S. I never found out why my friend thought writing was gross, but I recently learned she became a dental hygienist. No joke.
