Active Guard Reserve (AGR), California Army National Guard (CAARNG)• Led and supervised a maintenance unit comprised of 26 reserve soldiers across $20 multi-million military and transportation track parts which included sensitive high dollar value electronic parts warehouse. As a Logistics Supply supervisor, I counseled, advised and enabled my subordinates on retention and continue their service in the California Army National Guard for benefits under the US Army regulations and future education endeavors.• Maintained transportation vehicles assigned to unit for deployment • Oversaw support unit providing 75% to 90% combat readiness of inventoried and supply ordered parts and equipment to the Company B 240th Support Battalion. • Supervised, trained, and kept records of soldier’s performance evaluations observing confidentiality using interactive Personnel Electronic Management Systems (iPERMS)• Monitors soldier performance progress through a variety of reporting tools, inventory follow-up checks, physical training evaluations, and After Action Reports (AAR).• Provides guidance to subordinates on goal setting, decision-making, degree and certificate options, transfer pathways, retention, performance progress and future progress toward end of tour pursuit. Identifies academic options including extracurricular activities, online courses, and Post-911 GI Bill. Provides advice and consultation to subordinates selection of options best suited to their goals, interests and skills. As the primary liaison, connects them with recruiting Officer in Charge (OIC), Non-Commission Officer (NCO) and other personnel resources including mentoring, counseling, and career services.

• Instructed, trained tested and mentored over 37 soldiers for new Information Technology transitional Radio communications equipment and Military Occupational Skills (MOS) 92A10.• Served as the Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) instructor and trainer for the National Guard and Air Force Air Guard units on the operations, set-up, and troubleshooting of MSE radios and effective interface with the US Air Force and US Army National guard units.• Conducted assessment of student knowledge and troubleshooting skills (mock up and regular equipment); assessed concepts; required passing scores to move up• Received regular feedback/assessments from students and from Officer In Charge• Mobile Subscriber Equipment (MSE) trainer for New Transitional GTE Radio Communications for the US Army. Instructed, tested, and performed mock-up on the job testing of signal corps Additional Instruction Training (AIT) soldiers of the 240th Signal Battalion for Military Occupational Skills (MOS) requirements and battle readiness. • Trained and tested soldiers on troubleshooting, setup, and breakdown of Radio equipment for Radio Access Units (RAU), Line of Site (LOS) and Node Center operations. • Graded soldier ability on effective and efficient troubleshooting skill steps to locate and resolve RT-1537, RT-1538, and KY-57 bugs. • Emphasized cohesive and teamwork redundancy to quick and efficient problem resolution and overall success of mission tasks. • Upon passing final exams, soldiers were encouraged to take advantage of further education through the Post G.I. Bill, enrolling and transferring military training completion certificates for future college credits as well as retention options.
