As a computer science teacher in a Technical High School I follow the national guidelines that concern my subject. I teach mainly in the final three years of the curriculum, and the topics I deal with range from computational thinking, to programming (command line, desktop, mobile and web), up to the design of data bases. I use IT security topics, gamification tools and project based learning to enrich the learning experience of my students. My role was to plan and manage the creation of Web sites and Web applications. I was accountable for collecting requirements from the customer, then lead a team of developers and designers to build the solution that meets project scope, budget goals, quality standards and delivery dates.In my work, I produced written documentation (project, functional and technical), gathered and managed project requirements, sketch solutions and described user cases. I was used to write user guides with the aim to keep the workflow running smooth and not lower the end product quality.

In the travel industry (business and leisure), my role was to lead a team of developers, collect and analyze the customers requirements, produce an estimate of the work effort, design the needed database schema and develop Web applications using PHP (Zend O.O. Framework), Javascript (JQuery), XHTML, CSS, MySQL, in a Linux environment running the Apache Web Server.

My role has been to provide technical analysis and development work to build applications based on web technologies for the publishing industry. My tools were PHP, MySQL, Apache, Adobe Flex and Quark XPress Server; the environments were Apple Macintosh, Linux and Windows systems. I’ve done some work as system administrator on the servers, too.

GBU Italy is a non-profit organization part of IFES (www.ifesworld.org) a Christian movement working among students in more than 150 countries worldwide, since 1947. My responsibility was to grow and to run the italian organization. Some of my functions were: strategic planning; training and mentoring; build and support a team of professional and volunteers to implement the organization goals; public relations; fund rising.

I’ve been in charge to develop components for image processing (MS Visual C++) and newspaper and magazine content archiving system for the publishing industry (Quark Xtensions). Both system had a Web interface developed in Microsoft’s Active Server Pages (ASP) and ActiveX technologies on top of Microsoft IIS.

I’ve been in charge to design and to implement some custom solution in the database publishing field creating Quark Xpress XTensions.
