As a dedicated A320 airline captain, flight instructor and lecturer, I’ve had the privilege to work with and learn from some exceptional people, with particularly long and close associations with EasyJet, L-3 CTC UK and the universities of Sassari and Cagliari. I am passionate about flight operations safety, and over the years have become a thought leader and subject matter expert, at the forefront of aviation approaches to risk management. As a lecturer, I collaborate with a leading medical figure to develop methodologies that drive best practice on risk operating procedures and the transferability of concepts from the aviation sector to hospital governance.Being part of EasyJet’s growth since 2006 has been a phenomenal experience; there’s nothing more satisfying than collaborating with talented colleagues, sharing knowledge and coaching or training people to develop their skills. Over the years I’ve helped many young first and second officers to become great pilots, including through tough times as a trauma counsellor. My expertise lies in leading meticulous flight operations and aviation safety strategies, with flawlessly compliant processes, underpinned by great instincts for building strong team spirit and customer focus. One of my core strengths is adaptable communication, securing buy-in from people of all levels, working with leadership to develop effective strategies and driving positive outcomes through in-depth practical execution of the detail, with sensitive adaptation to regional variations in culture and behaviour. Having begun my career as cabin crew in 2001, I’m proud of my success since then in optimising aviation risk strategies through supportive collaboration between flight deck and cabin, developing non-punitive environments, aligned to EasyJet’s ‘Just Culture’ principles.Specialities:♦ Flight Operations Best Practice.♦ Aviation Safety & Risk Strategies. ♦ Coaching, Flight Instruction.♦ Team Building, Leadership.

Frequently, these successes have come from coaching around stress management and confidence-building. I always aim to provide professional tools for life, rather than just training towards exams. The quality of this training, with strong client retention, has helped raise the reputation of L-3 CTS, not least through my ability to tighten compliance to regulatory standards.
