• As Chief Engineer on the Defense Security Service project, led a team of 30+ technical (software, database, operations, system administration and test) personnel to design, develop, upgrade, deploy and operate three multi-tier enterprise J2EE Web applications. All applications were developed using the following technologies: Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), and Enterprise Java Beans (EJB). The design incorporated the use of dependency injection, server side services were developed to provide database access by the graphical components of the applications.• Maintains a system view of the entire DSS architecture.• Acted as Technical Lead during the development and deployment of ISFD version 1.

• Designed and implemented a network management application to support Qwest’s B2B e-commerce initiative. This application allows Qwest customer to configure and monitor data communication products purchased from Qwest as well as pay their invoices. • Developed application component on a Solaris platform, utilizing WebLogic 5.1 as the Web server and application server. The application was designed using Java 1.2, Enterprise Java Beans, Java Servlets and Java Server Pages.• Successfully lead a team that designed and implemented a database driven reporting framework. This design saved other teams countless hours of development by diminishing the need to develop and register new JSPs to support their reports. • Designed an application to which searched the Qwest billing system for new invoices and generated a graphical representation of a customer bandwidth usage of Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) and/or Dedicated Web Hosting (DWH) services provided by Qwest. This application also generated sales leads by comparing the bandwidth usage billed to the customers with maximum bandwidth of the DIA and/or DWH service provided.

• Key member of the DoDIIS Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) Program software development team. This system processes and maintains a database of approximately 1 to 2 million messages. The messages that comprise this database include AUTODIN, AP, UPI, RFC822 (E-mail), FBIS and REUTERS message traffic. The AMHS allows military personnel and civilians involved with military intelligence to search for information on various topics. • Integrated Verity Search 97 Topic Internet Server, Search 97 Topic Agent Server products and Netscape Fast Track Server COTS products. These products allow users to search the AMHS message database using Internet browsers such as Netscape and to create search agents, which will monitor the database for messages that meet certain criteria 24 hours day. • Designed database architecture, using FairCom C-tree application package, to store message information meeting the requirements of search agents. This database systems is accessed via Java an application which communicates to a server application running on a Dec Alpha Server. The TCP/IP network protocol is used the facilitate communication between the client and the server application.
