Assisted in the analysis of the 2015 report card, focusing on phase II of community parks initiative (NYC Department of Parks and Recreation). Coordinated a study focusing on recreational boating and marinas in the 5 boroughs. Interviewed operators, documented and quantified physical infrastructure of recreational marinas. Conducted coastal hazard GIS mapping of waterfront communities vulnerable to coastal storm surge and sea level rise.

Documented shoreline conditions and flood risk areas at Bronx Community District no. 10. Studied feasibility of scaling coastal green infrastructure to mitigate flooding. Developed and presented recommendations to various community board committees, as well as to the Bronx President’s office (Bureau of planning and development).

Researched urban ecology concepts related to invasive vegetation species in New York City. Developed concept designs for outreach and research website implementation. Assisted designing new methods of collecting, archiving and developing the in-house inventory of invasive species.
