At W2e.CEVAR we are working to introduce the biomass GASIFICATION process to eliminate pollution and introduce the product ECOCHAR in Brazil, as soil conditioner and fertilizer. ECOCHAR will also bring a negative carbon footprint to the agribusiness.

I accumulated the Purchasing and the SQD management responsibility. Our main challenges were to prepare the organization and the personnel for increasing business in Asia, to find synergies with Nissan Diesel, and to support the due diligence for a joint venture between Volvo and a Chinese truck brand.My team was successful in presenting competitive Chinese suppliers for a global sourcing project of 700MEuro yearly spend. One of the selected Chinese suppliers got the Volvo Supplier Award.

Quality is the key when the objective is to source in emerging markets with premium performance. I took the responsibility to establish a Supplier Development organization in China, hiring, educating, and leading the team to assure that all business implemented in China would be a success. I started with Lorenzetti as Purchasing Specialist and quickly progressed to Supplier Quality and then Total Quality Manager for the Campo Largo site, which had four production plants and more than 1800 employees.

As a technical purchaser, I was responsible to buy steel, fasteners, connections, and special transportation.
