Employed in the role of National Risk Manager in 2016, leading safety, and quality auditing, investigations, claims management, human resources, and industrial relations supporting the business in the Tier 1construction market.The role expanded over time to include Asset Management and carriage of the asset and supply chain – operation and obligations.Senior Management role and resource for lead governance and compliance, engaged to drive risk management, HSEQ and several business functions. Core disciplines as Risk Manager with focus on the HR and ER/IR strategy (workplace bargaining) in a predominantly unionized workforce; establishing, implementing and overseeing highly audited - integrated management systems and reporting to the Board of Directors. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing frameworks, policies, systems and processes; with well developed analytical, writing, reporting and presentation skills with a proven ability to transfer knowledge through effective communication and training strategies.Key Responsibilities- Partner with key stakeholders to identify, evaluate, manage, mitigate, and report risks that impact the delivery of our strategic programs and operations.- Support stakeholders with implementing a reporting framework that provides guidance and informs business decision making. - Lead the development and implementation of the HSEQ strategy.- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within the business to ensure strong levels of support are provided.- Manage the ongoing compliance of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications.- Claims Management and carriage/management of the insurances.- End to end recruitment. People support; responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving HR processes; employee record keeping, recruitment, on-boarding internally and through several industry HRIS systems, employee engagement, planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and counsel employees through to redundancies and disciplinary terminations. - Drive effective compliance programs to ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practices, Standards, license and other industry specific requirements.- Assists the Engineering and Operations Department in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with projects tendering, project start-up and project management activities.- liaising with clients on all HSEQ, HR / IR on safety and governance.
