Aerodynamics And Composites Member
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Member of the Aerodynamic and Composites team, which is responsible for the aerodynamics and all the body panels for an electric High-Performance Motorcycle. In this role, I completed the following tasks:- Manufactured through Vacuum infusion and fitted carbon fiber panels to protect the battery cells and the rider.- Conducted FEA and CFD simulations, to design and manufacture the front-fearing mount, a highly complex mechanically loaded part. I then manufactured it in-house and incorporated it into the motorcycle. - Designed carbon fiber parts, specifically the gas tank cover. This part required a lot of material testing to determine an apt manufacturing process, ideal layup, and tooling design. The tooling was built in-house using foam and a three-axis CNC machine. After which the final part was made using a wet layup method, which was then put under vacuum, and mounted to the motorcycle.
