My name is Marcelo Mindlin. In my early years as a businessman, in 1989, I founded the EMES Investor Group (formerly known as Dolphin Group), which I preside since then.In 2003 I resigned to my position in leading companies to relaunch my career as an entrepreneur starting a new business. In 2005, together with my partners, i decided to buy “Frigorífico Pampa” for the amount of US$1 million, a shell company that was listed on Buenos Aires Stock Exchange for decades, but had no operations at all. We all sacrificed comfort, risking our well-earned reputation along the years to chase a new dream: creating a leading energy company in Argentina.Today this company is called Pampa Energía and, in over a decade, has become the largest independent integrated energy company in the country (Listed in NYSE, ticker: PAM).
