Materials Planning/Inventory Management: Tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all items required in the laboratory. Generating purchase orders through departments requisitioning. Efficiently managing the inventory, and ensuring availability of materials to meet departments demand. Implementing Standard Operating Procedures within the materials department and key stakeholders. Also training team members to maintain compliance with these procedures. Sourcing/Procurement: Handling sourcing through the identification of cost effective suppliers for procurement with an aim of improving quality & reliability. Logistics: Liaising with third party courier and laboratory staff when transporting supplies to our clients and internal departments. Negotiating with courier companies and suppliers to ensure continuous and cost-effective transportation solutions. Facility Management: Liaising with Estates department and contractors for the running of laboratory services and building maintenance. Clinical and general waste management in accordance with Environmental Agency.
