Marcelo began his career at Lojas Americanas, managing areas such as Treasury, Banking Relationship, Controller, Strategic and Financial Planning, Total Quality Control, Store Operation, reaching the Financial Superintendence of the network. In this trajectory, he was elected No. 1 executive of company, receiving coaching from Professor Vicente Falconi, implementing, after studies in Japan, the first Total Quality Control of Brazilian retail. He was responsible for launching the Lojas Americanas Private Label credit card, which reached the milestone of 1 million active customers in just 6 months and also commanded the spin off and the sale of 23 stores to Carrefour.At GP Investments, he served as CFO and IRD of invested companies, with challenges in different business. He led a consolidation process in the supermarket segment, through the acquisition of ABC supermarkets network, its structuring and sale to Grupo Pão de Açúcar. At Hopi Hari, Latin America's largest theme park, he restructured the financial and operational landscape in the challenging entertainment sector, culminating in the proposal of international strategic investors. He led a consolidation process in the dairy segment, starting from an acquisition of R$ 500 MM and taking the group to R$ 2.5 Bi in sales, bringing BNDES as creditor and partner of the new operation.He began his experience as a consultant, associating with Enéas Pestana & Associados in the operational and commercial restructuring and consolidation of 164 stores of the Leader Magazine Group.Currently, Marcelo is a founding partner of Melius Consulting, a company focused on restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of companies in business segments such as health, consumer goods, entertainment, services, technology and retail, based in São Paulo.Marcelo is fluent in Portuguese and English and holds a degree in Economics, a post-graduate degree in Business Administration and Management, specializing in Total Quality Management.
