PROJECTS: trained, coached and supported hundreds of people in adopting new methods in over 20 organizations. Developed and facilitated the workshops START OR DIE about lean startup; PENSAMENTO ENXUTO (lean thinking) about lean manufacturing, and DESIGN THINKING about its concepts, tools and how to apply them. Supported organizations to implement lean tools, worked with a technology company to kickstart their internal innovation initiative, and applied design thinking to redesign the way an IT departments deals with their employees’ internal carreer.CHANGE: introduced new concepts and products to the education and consulting markets in South-East Brazil: lean thinking for manufacturing and innovation processes, visual and design thinking, and in-depth business modelling.IMPACT: successfully lead a team of four people for over three years, while growing the business amid Brazil’s second worst economic crisis in history. Startify has raised general awareness regarding productivity and waste, as well as increased clients’ process performance and reduced their costs.

PROJECTS: trainer and lead auditor for management practices in Brazil, Colombia, Mozambique, Indonesia, Oman, Australia, Wales and Canada. Piloted project-based work. Internal consultant and trainer for lean transformation.CHANGE: after one year visiting, training and auditing hundreds of people in a top-down management system, I started advocating and testing a different approach. I worked and lead 4 different projects based on the lean manufacturing approach, including the training of senior leadership to support change in the work culture.IMPACT: the entire Operational Improvement department, a 60 people organization, changed towards a project-based work methodology, focused on creating real value for the operational sites, and for the people at the shopfloor level. One of the projects showed a potential gain of over US$ 16 million by recovering lost productivity.
