I consider myself an artificial intelligence and robotics enthusiast/engineer/researcher. I've always been fascinated by AI and robotics in fiction (Isaac Asimov mainly), which led me to pursue a career in engineering. During my bachelor's in Control and Automation Engineering, I strived to study AI alongside automation and ended up landing a Master's on a fascinating theme: Multi-Agent Systems applied to UAVs. Autonomous cognitive drones, in layman's term. This allowed me to publish and present a paper on PAAMS 2018, an international conference that further solidified my passion for the theme.Anyway, after my master's, I went for the hottest job that would allow me to flex this AI muscle of mine, which ended up being in data science. Although working as a data scientist has been a wonderful experience, I still consider myself to be an engineer first: I'm very problem-oriented and driven by innovation. Solving relevant issues that have a broad impact in the world in alternative and intelligent ways is what I love.Although I've been more focused on areas such as statistics and ML (mainly regression and clustering) lately, I still like robotics and industrial applications very much and have been studying them on my free time. Professionally, I'm looking to grow as a data scientist as much as I can, learning new technologies and skills along the way, and perhaps pivoting to the robotics industry in the future.
