As a leader in Offer Creation, I developed a new concept in electrical power and energy analytics. I leveraged technologies from external partners and integrated these technologies into Schneider's products. Some of the key benefits of this new offer include:Predictive condition monitoring for electrical loads. Simplification of power monitoring architecture & user interfaces. Reduction in maintenance costs. Elimination of unpredicted downtime. Improved process efficiency.In a first phase, I conducted several customer interviews, completed a global market analysis, monetized the opportunity with application specific business cases based in customer's insights and pain points, elected external partners, developed offer requirements and built prototypes to proof the feasibility of implementation.After a successful first phase, the project continued to field trials to validate the value proposition and market acceptance.

In this role, I guided long-term product innovation aimed at advancing, and simplifying engineering designs that address continually evolving customer needs and advancements in technology. My staff consisted of 3 senior staff engineers (architects) located in Victoria, Canada and LaVergne, TN. During this period, I led the planning, budgeting and ideation of new product concepts. In terms of product innovation, a key accomplishment was creating an innovative temperature monitoring solution and building a working prototype that applied RFSAW technology to monitor performance of low-voltage capacitors.

This included crafting a strategic plan and roadmap for commercial and technical performance and overseeing product evolution, technical documentation, customer requests/complaints, QC/QA, product pricing, and marketing collateral. My staff consisted of 6 product managers in Victoria, Canada and LaVergne, TN. During this period, I led the complex consolidation of metering products from U.S., Canada, and France operations and continued to perform as key liaison between 50 market segment managers and design-engineering teams in three countries.I also developed a proposal and product requirements for high-end power quality and mid-range power meters, which diversified product offerings and created additional business opportunities.

Promoted from Senior Product Specialist, I was credited with conceiving and engineering an innovative mid-range modular power meter and accessory package, which helped facilitate global expansion to European, South American and Asian markets - 13,000 units were sold the first year on the market.This device has consistently generated annual contribution margins exceeding $24M (USD) for the last 8 years. Working closely with business developers and product managers in multiple countries, I managed the complex, multiphase, and time-sensitive obsolescence process to retire two metering product lines...this impacted 2,000 customers worldwide.

This position focused on meeting customer needs by designing new products as well as enhancing those currently in use.To this end, I developed a power quality and energy monitoring product line that offered features, capacity and functionality of high-end products at a lower cost.I also designed a unique portable device for monitoring power quality. This eliminated the power-quality teams' need for third-party equipment and opened doors to new business. This device added $2.5M direct sales over ten years from initial $40K investment.
