Mozambique

Managed the railway materials supply for a major infrastructure project in Mozambique and Malawi involving the construction of 230 km (greenfield) and the rehabilitation of 682 km (brownfield) of railway lines. The total estimated capex was USD 4.3 Billion. Highlights and responsabilities:• Ensured the successful delivery of all rail supplies for the construction of the railway lines in lower operating costs.• Prepared and reviewed logistics proposals, technical documents for tender, calculation of quantities, cost estimates and project specifications• Performed contractor monitoring and handled onsite project management activities.• Leaded and trained 30+ contractors and Vale personnel.• Controlled the production and quality of all rail supplies.• Provided engineering support for the hiring process of contractors. • Ensured the project safety with zero injuries.• Planned and reported all progress of the processes and activities to the director’s board.• Performed meetings and interface with the operation, planning and constructors.
