Full time paid position with overnight on call every 3 days at large urban medical center covering inpatient wards and emergency department in adult medicine division. Involved in all levels of care. Obtained H&P, performed medical procedures, wrote prescriptions, provided diagnosis and treatment services, admitted patients, referred to adequate specialties and provided follow-up care of attendees of medical center.

Rural service in tertiary level hospital in impoverished healthcare deprived region serving over 230,000 inhabitants. Awarded top performing rural service physician based on peer recommendations and results of patient satisfaction surveys. Position required relocation, work inpatient, outpatient and ER in both adult and child medicine departments. Functions included but were not limited to obtaining H&P, writing prescriptions, specimen collections, inserting catheters, tu bes, drains and IV access, paracentesis and lumbar punctures. As well as assistance during surgical procedures, administration of vaccinations, performance of childbirth deliveries, and wound and diabetic foot care. Additionally, as a self initiative performed routine health promotion, vaccination, vector control and deworming campaigns.

Program includes neuroanatomy and extremities, with intensive hours of daily lectures and weekly disections session.
