About Marcel Straver
Onder de naam STRAVERF schilder ik mijn eigen gekleurde wereld, mijn interpretatie van wat ik waarneem. Dat doe ik in mijn kenmerkende ‘grof pointillistische’ stijl: korte streken met de platte kwast. Soms blijf ik wat dichter bij de werkelijkheid en soms abstraheer ik meer. De onderwerpen blijven meestal herkenbaar en zijn altijd met liefde voor detail en structuur uitgewerkt. Ik werk autonoom én in opdracht.Ik wordt momenteel vertegenwoordigd door: Galerie Mi in Bilthoven, Galerie Domo Eclectica in Goud en Galerie Het Moment in Zierikzee.Daarnaast ben ik ook nog steeds grafisch ontwerper bij mijn eigen ontwerpbureau TWEED.

Geïnspireerd door toevallige scenes in de kleine natuur om hem heen schildert Marcel Straver zijn eigen versies hiervan op doek. Bomen in een veld met koolzaad of fluitenkruid, een kronkelend weggetje met bomen, een berm vol wilde bloemen of papaver. Als hij er langsloopt of fietst maakt hij een simpel kiekje. In zijn atelier werkt hij het, soms pas.

Vanaf de eerste editie in 2013 ben ik betrokken geweest bij de organisatie van atelierroute (en later vereniging) KunstRondeVenen, de tweejaarlijkse kunstroute in De Ronde Venen. Ik was verantwoordelijk voor de promotie en vormgeving zoals logo, website, routefolder, flyers en posters. De samenwerking met de andere leden van de organisatie en het contact.
