Teaching biology and science.

BioCygnus focused on the development and commercialization of the first ever automated device for the measurement of drug activity in a simple whole blood sample in preclinical and clinical settings. The versatility of the technology allowed BioCygnus to build a platform called Cygnivo, which was based on intellectual property developed by myself at the University of Brussels, Belgium (ULB). BioCygnus developed a prototype automated device called Cygnivo100 which was successfully tested in a clinical proof-of-concept study with blood samples of multiple sclerosis patients. Cygnivo100 was used in a collaboration contract with a Swiss pharmaceutical company focused on the development of a companion diagnostics for a rheumatoid arthritis preclinical candidate.
