After 15 years in senior management of internationally acclaimed music organisations I returned to academia with an MMus in Theory; but I have been adjunct faculty in Music and Arts Management for many years.From 2012-17, I developed and headed the offering in Career & Professional Development, and Music Business at the Royal Academy of Music; I chaired Music Business at The Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam; and then taught on the MA in Applied Musicology at Utrecht University. I aim to maintain an active profile in the music profession and have been invited for guest lectures on music business and entrepreneurship, among others, by the Danish National Academy of Music and for a keynote, by the European association of schools of music, the AEC.In the 2016 Honours, I was created an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, for distinguished service to the institution, and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 2017. I was humbled by the SUNY Potsdam students who voted me 'Favorite Professor' in Music Business twice, 2017-18 and 2018-19.Since 2021, I have been a Consultant for Danish software, ASIMUT, advising the management of the world’s top performing arts schools – including Juilliard, RCM, University of Music Vienna mdw, and the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance – on optimizing organizational performance, with a focus on scheduling, room booking, and event management. I recently participated in the International Council of Fine Arts Deans ICFAD’s Leadership Development Program for new and future Deans; and in December 2021, top-ranked Aarhus University appointed me to the School of Communication and Culture, as an Affiliated Researcher in Musicology. While still in New York, in 2019 I also developed and directed the inaugural TEDx SUNY Potsdam.
