I am a freelance generator and field winder. I have been a winder since 2008, and possess a wide range of skills necessary to provide professional and quality workmanship and leadership. I have been part of research and development teams focused on improving safety, quality, and processes. Safety is of the utmost importance. As KingFixer, I utilize skills I have learned to provide a wide range of handyman and minor home repair services. These services include, but are no limited to, mounting TVs, window treatments, art installation, kitchen backsplash tiling, flooring, interior painting, rental property preparation, garage door repair, and other commonly needed services.

The Winder demonstrates quality craftsmanship, leadership, and accountability in generator inspection and repair, in-shop and at customer sites. Exhibits knowledge of, and the ability to apply theory and a diverse skill base to ensure the safe, high-quality delivery of customer products.- Inspect and inventory components and materials for project.- Design and fabricate situation-specific tools for improved quality, safety, and processes.- C-coil brazing, lap brazing, UT testing, collector rings, shrink-fit components, RTI-30, and all other field rewind duties.- Assist generator specialists with test and inspect duties.- Focuses on attention to detail in craftsmanship, inspection, and communication with all involved parties.- Assist R&D teams with tooling and process development and improvement projects, as well as EHS improvement initiatives.- Educate new team members on theory of operation, safety procedures, and best practices.- Perform and guide all repairs including, but not limited to, rewind, rewedge, bar replacement, bushing repair, corona repair, and core tightening.- Perform and guide all field repairs including, but not limited to, coil winding, C-Coil installation and testing, shrink-fit component removal and installation, main-lead repair, bore-copper repair, and blocking.-Decipher complex schematic diagrams and drawings.

I manufactured several petroleum based products and pumped it into storage tanks, rail cars, and 55-gallon drums. I had to ensure that I mixed the components of each product properly to produce a consistent quality product.

I troubleshot, repaired and performed operational checkouts on communication, navigation, and defensive avionics of B-1B bombers. I had to perform pre-launch inspections, load IFF computers with time sensitive information, and install experimental equipment onto the aircraft. I was also tasked with training new airmen and ensuring they made a smooth transition into our squadron.
