About Marc Gericó
Marc Gericó is the managing partner and founder of Gericó Associates. He is considered one of the most recognised specialists in the field of consulting for law firms, both in Spain and in Latin America. As an international consultant, he has provided services to clients such as Baker McKenzie, CMS, DLA Piper or Squire Patton Boggs, among others and has advised law firms locally in cities such as Miami, Mexico City, Lima, Bogotá, Santo Domingo, Quito and Brussels, among the most prominent. During 2015, he was a Reputation Advisor for the Bankruptcy Administration of Banco Madrid, formed by the Spanish Government and two renowned Spanish law firms. A year later -in 2016-, Gericó Associates began its internationalisation and landing in Latin America, specifically in Bogotá and Lima. That same year, he created, organised and promoted the Legal Marcom Awards (Legal Marketing & Communications Awards), the first Spanish-speaking Legal Marketing and Legal Communications Awards. As a columnist, his annual analyzes of mergers between law firms in highly prestigious media such as Cinco Días stand out: “The challenges of transatlantic mergers” (11/04/2019), as well as Expansión: “The era of mergers in law firms” (01/19/2017), “2018: The golden age of mergers between law firms” (12/29/2017), “Law mergers and acquisitions: one year (more) than record numbers” (08/01/2019) and “Mergers between law firms: one more year (and going three) of record figures” (01/20/2020). In addition, he has been a member of the Organising Committee of the World Law Congress held at the Royal Theatre last 2019, an event that brought together more than 1,000 jurists from around the world and where the Royal Spanish Family was awarded the prize for Democracy. He is a regular speaker at congresses on trends in the legal industry, Legal Marketing and internationalisation of law firms.
