Pélican Médias SAS has been established in 2010 with my partner Martine Jomin-Gombeaud - Chairing the company - to support and develop innovative activities in information and technologies. We broadened our scope well beyond the media business and until its business cessation on 30 June 2019, Pélican Médias SAS was involved in a number of Biotech and Agtech companies and offsprings with a strongly innovative endeavour acting as 'track openers'.

It is dedicated to health coverage in print and radio, and on the Web. We developed a newswire in French, English and Arabic that was disseminated to 200 newspapers, 1,000+ radio stations and 85 internet portals in 70 countries.

As the direct counterpart ot Health Authorities in the 52 WHO Members States in the European Region, I was in charge with the development and implementation of a great number of information and communication activities connected to health: information campaigns, training for medical professionals, political leaders and journalists in the areas of HIV containement, family planning and contraception... These days were stimulating indeed: the Fall of the Berlin Wall; the dawn of political leaders in Romania and Albania, the Desert Storm campaign in Iraq...In 1991, I led the first relief convoy to besieged Croatia: from Copenhagen to Zagreb (and back) in 3 days time to transport and deliver drugs, a field hospital and emergency goods.

CSA was a minitel-based communication network which in its days involved up to 20 000 physicians and 4 000 pharmacists. The rationale was to support professional communications, and to provide physicians and pharmacists with a number of professional databases.

Le "Quotidien" was established in 1971 as the first ever daily newspaper for physicians. It has set a reference in its domaine and during my years there, I was in charge of the new developments within the Group: establishing the first professional database on drug interactions based on the Minitel (1984), and preparing the feasability studies and launch of Le Quotien du Pharmacien were among those...
