About Marc G. Persaud

I am a Business Whisperer…the theory of business speaks to me.I know, I know...it's a little much but let me explain -After being successful but not finding any particularly natural path in high school, I attended McGill University for my Bachelor of Commerce, a degree completely dedicated to the machinations of modern business. As I progressed through my courses, concepts and theories naturally aligned with my own notions about building a strong and scalable business–understanding your employees, charismatic leadership, honesty and transparency, financial discipline and innovation. I had finally found my niche where everything simply made sense to me. Since then, my appetite for business knowledge and understanding has only grown. This has been reflected in my unconventional career trajectory. The majority of my career has been spent in my home country of Trinidad and Tobago. As a small developing nation, we enjoy a higher than normal degree of job flexibility for the educated professional. This characteristic has allowed me to work and gain experience and knowledge in a wide assortment of business types, ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups and other SME structures to such behemoths of industry as eBay, BP, IBM and EY. Synonymous with this mobility is a continuously steep and challenging learning curve. I have led teams through the challenges of starting or rebuilding a company and equally, I have performed economic risk evaluations for globally scaled major projects and helped analyze the strategy for large international companies. I have worked and sweated across the full spectrum of business but most importantly I have learnt. My journey has been one of discovery and breadth and that is my strength. I am now turning my focus to the realm of international strategy and finance where I believe that my unique background and my ability to understand a company and the inherent business and investment risk will prove to be invaluable assets.
