To provide the overall collection, evaluation and dissemination of all operational information concerning the incident in order to understand the current situation, predict incident course, and to assist in the preparation of response objectives and strategies.Report to the Incident Commander for situation briefing and assist in preparation of initial response objectives and strategies. Establish information requirements and reporting schedules for all ICSorganizational elements for operational periods, incident action plan preparation, and information dissemination. Invoke duties of unit leaders to undertake initial preparation of deployment of staff and resources. Determine need for specialists to undertake resource and site assessments, and arrange for contract services in consultation with chiefs of Logistics and Finance/administration Sections. Brief unit leaders on duties, safety, communications and other field requirements. Introduce any contract resource or oil spill specialists to response team and its organization. Represent the state on federal regional environmental emergency teams (REET) for exchanging resource information and setting protection priorities. Coordinate with other section chiefs on preparing established situation reports, status summaries, and Incident Action Plans for the next operational period.

Fire Operations provides specialized emergency services including fire suppression, emergency medical care, hazardous materials management, swift water rescue, and urban search & rescue. It also includes maintenance of fire equipment and performance of business and residential fire prevention inspections, along with comprehensive fire pre-planning and public education.Any responder involved in tactical operations of an emergency incident falls underneath the Operations Section. The Operations Section Chief is responsible for ensuring that everyone in his section is carrying out the Incident Commander's objectives. This requires the Operations Section Chief to interact with responders from many different disciplines. A large part of any incident is tactical operations. When dealing with a school shooting, law enforcement officers are needed to find and mitigate the threat, medical personnel are need to treat the wounded, school administration and teachers are needed to ensure all students have evacuated and are reunited with the proper family members. Operations Chief is responsible for coordinating all of these actions and ensuring that all incident objectives are met.

The responsibilities of a fire captain typically vary according to the size of the organization, however, some of those duties include managing the fire station, performing fire safety inspections, and training new firefighters. On the scene of fires, a fire captain is expected to make an evaluation of the fire to determine how the firefighters should respond.The fire captain is responsible for his individual company, and typically reports directly to the fire battalion chief. Fire captains are responsible for making sure the apparatus and firefighting equipment is in good working order. They are responsible for follow through to make sure any problems found are quickly corrected.Fire captains are responsible for managing operations, personnel and have significant administrative roles.

Fire engineers are responsible for firefighting vehicles, such as fire engines and fire trucks, that transport firefighters, carry equipment, operate aerial ladder devices, and pump water at fire scenes.Fire engineers make sure that the vehicle is clean and running efficiently, the fuel tank contains enough fuel and all systems are working. They may perform maintenance tasks, such as replacing necessary fluids, and performing minor repairs. They also drive the vehicle, which typically carries a fire captain, firefighters and paramedics.Safety is a primary concern as they drive vehicles under urgent circumstances through regular road traffic while efficiently delivering emergency services.

"Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors" is a non-profit organization managed by firefighters and civilians who volunteer their services and are dedicated to assist those that have been affected by burn injuries. The organization hosts several fund raisers throughout each year in which donations are received and distributed on behalf of each donor to local burn centers and foundations as well as burn survivors and their families.
