With over two decades of experience in telecommunications, IT, and networking, I bring a lifelong passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning. From building a pirate radio station at age 12 — which led to a lasting career in broadcasting that I still enjoy — to managing and developing complex voice and data networks, my journey in technology has been both diverse and rewarding.In 2001, my background in electronics enabled me to launch my own business, where I provided wireless Internet to multi-tenant housing properties. This venture taught me the challenge of managing a team and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. In 2007, an opportunity arose to merge my company with Columbia Integrated Technologies (CIT), where I took on the role of designing and installing voice and data networks for clients ranging from small businesses to multi-location corporations.In 2011, I joined CenturyLink as a Business Services Technician, where I quickly advanced to become a Subject Matter Expert on GPON fiber networks, collaborating closely with the Network Architects to expand CenturyLink's fiber services. Although I was not in a sales role, my strong customer relationships generated over $138,000 in new revenue in 2017, earning me the Circle of Excellence award — typically reserved for sales team members.Following a company-wide Reduction in Force at CenturyLink, I joined GFI, a Managed Service Provider, as a Field Engineer. There, I rapidly expanded my experience with Cisco Meraki networks, and my ability to demystify complex technology for clients earned me a promotion to Customer Experience Manager. In this role, I managed our client's expectations, and developed customized technology roadmaps, fostering successful long-term partnerships.Most recently, I worked at EquipmentShare, a technology-focused equipment rental startup, where I continued to deepen my expertise until my position was recently eliminated due to restructuring.
