I have been a professional PAINTER / ARTIST , for over 30 years. I have operated and owned several creative businesses, in conjunction with my desire, need and aptitude to almost always continue my art processes.

Independent professional artist, create and promote my art for a variety of venues. My last studio addressed my own particular need for production space as well as operating as a Fine Arts Gallery (The Sage Gallery of Fine Art, Gladwyne, Pa.) where I featured my paintings as well as others. As acting liaison I organized "Openings and Showings", featuring individual's works, formats ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime, with no intentional boundaries .Exposing the spectrum of creativity the uniqueness was my only criteria. Utilizing my extensive contacts derived from my other business endeavors, targeting potential investors. Occasionally if necessary, I would collaborate with Art Consultants and Interior Designers willing to facilitate and hoping to motivate to ensure a particular purchase/s.I would avail myself accommodating with choosing, placing, transporting, framing and hanging works. Besides numerous private collectors, my works were purchased by BLUE CROSS, HOLIDAY INN, SEIMENS and US HEALTH CARE.

The one and only thing I did not do was waitress. I began this endeavor without any predisposed ideas or experiences. This was going to be an adventure, a very expensive one, (good thing I had paintings to adorn the walls and therefore sell). This happened as an opportunity at a time when it was a feasible alternative and symbiotic enterprise, a collaborative predisposed for my professional life as an artist. Almost too stereotypical an artist in a bar / restaurant. My adventure began as a contractor, needing to totally renovate and reconstruct the dilapitated interior. Next in line was the story line or theme which in turn would then dictate the types of foods that were going to be produced. The hiring of the staff of followed and the marketing and advertising, which I did personally in house. My daily tasks included supervision of the operation and staff, ordering ingredients, researching vendors,coordinate with the head chef, cleaning, set-up, and any number of miscellaneous mishaps which where definitely going to occur. And naturally there was the money management. Owning and operating a Bar / Restaurant entailed more hours than are available, and though could be overwhelming it was a gratifying enterprise and unparalleled to any other I have experienced

Another adventure, which I began as a cottage industry in my home after my daughter was born. Shortly after I moved the operation to a facility better suited for mass production and hired a staff capable of meeting the demands of our orders. I utilized my metals smithing and jewelry background education from my attending The University of the Arts (PCA) I designed and manufactured a product line of girls and women's jewelry and accessories that I wholesaled to boutiques and department stores. I attend annual trade shows and instituted the help of professional sales representatives nationally. Some of the department store that purchased my accessory line included BLOOMINGDALE'S , NEIMAN MARCUS AND HENRI BENDEL.

This was my first fun job, that taught me work can be great, productive and creative, while making money. It was the jumping off point for me in my future entrepreneurial endeavors.
