With a foundation in healthcare, nonprofits, and entreprenurship, I transitioned to teaching to inspire young learners in science and global citizenship. In my science classroom, I focus on active, project-based learning while building connections to the real world. I use my skills in communication, project management, and technology to develop curriculum and make existing curriculum more engaging. Students are empowered to think critically by asking questions, doing research, and connecting with community experts. Currently, I teach alongside a co-teacher in math which allows us to build an interdisciplinary curriculum to benefit our students. Outside the classroom, I’m dedicated to community service and advocacy. I love volunteering with a local refugee resettlement program and increasing access to healtchare by serving on a local board.
