InstructorBroome Community College Aug 2000 - PresentI teach in three different departments: Art, Communications, and History, Philosophy and Social Sciences. I teach a variety of courses including: History and Theory of Architecture; History and Theory of Photography; Two-Dimensional Design; Image Theory; Media and Society; and Theory and Methods in Media Studies. I also teach several sections of the Introduction to College seminar every fall semester. For the last three years I have been part of the SUNY COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) Program where my students and I partner virtually with a colleague and their students in another country. I received a U.S. State Department grant in order to train for this program in Cairo, Egypt, and Oujda, Morocco. I have partnered with two different colleagues in Morocco, a colleague in Mexico, and a colleague in Egypt.I am also on the faculty of SUNY Broome's Health for Haiti Program. I travel to Haiti every January with 20 students, several faculty, and volunteers. we work with adults and children in rural and urban Haiti. I teach art, music, and science within the program.
