I am interested in using my extensive publishing and publicity background to work with publishers, authors, or nonprofit organizations either through consulting or being on staff. I know how to maximize creativity in this day of small budgets and staffing constraints My background includes building and executing innovative marketing campaigns, media relations, and spearheading publicity efforts to showcase bestselling authors and publishing brands.I am also interested in working with nonprofits. I recently joined the Communications and Marketing Committee of SHARE, a peer to peer cancer counseling organization. While pursuing my career I served for several years on the board of an independent school and have experience in marketing, development, planning events, and board policies as well as working with teachers and an administrative team.My publicity skills and contacts could also be used in the areas of breast cancer, diabetes, and food security, all areas where I have a special interest.
