After completing my masters degree at York St John University, I searched for a full time role in the field of Marketing, which resulted in joining Live Electronics.In this role I manage all of the marketing operations for the business, covering a large ground and creating different forms of content. Within this role I have to be organised, which includes creating a marketing schedule for the year and making sure I meet deadlines set, publishing content on time.One of my responsibilities is writing copy and content for marketing email campaigns. I work within HubSpot to create and design these email campaigns, which are sent at least every three weeks. Alongside these campaigns, I often create press releases which relate to the campaign. These are sent to various relevant media publications, which gains further traction to the website, which in turn generates orders. Another role within my job is creating Linked In content for the company business page, to reach potential and existing customers with relevant information about the business and operations. I write the content whilst also creating a relevant image and posting at the most popular time.Regarding the WordPress website, I have made constant updates, to rank higher on SEO ratings, which has been achieved. I also write and upload new products to the website. I have also setup and conducted a user experience for the website, to identify key issues and made changes accordingly to have a better usability.I also create monthly reports which show the performance of the website and what has most popular over the month. This includes collating information from Google Analytics and creating graphs which I then present to the directors of the company. I also create a similar report with information gathered from my email marketing campaigns to record and compare performance.Within this role I have also completed external GA4 Training and Linked In training courses.

An opportunity arose whilst I was working part-time within the company for promotion to Assistant Manager. I put myself forward to my manager for this role, and was accepted. After being promoted from Barista to Assistant Manager, this job entailed much higher managerial and organisational qualities. Ensuring the correct POS is in place and any other actions which help to drive sales were key qualities within my role. I have a strong understanding of sales reports, which were used to support the Bar Manager to hit our targets. I was required to check and count stock and create orders to control stock levels, as well as being organised and creating rotas. Often, I would run shifts and ensure all staff are trained and working correctly and efficiently.

Whilst studying at university, I wanted a part time job and was proactive in finding this. My main role within the job was taking orders from customers, taking payment and making the drinks requested. I had to multitask heavily during busy periods. Responsibilities within this role included both opening and closing the café, cashing up the tills and depositing money in the safe and also working efficiently alone. I also completed Food Safety Level 2, Allergen Awareness and COSHH training within this role.

I completed this placement during my second year of my Journalism degree at university. Once a week I would take part in an online newsroom call, where I would bring an idea to the table of a news story that I could write about that week. Some were current and had time restrains, others were timeless and could be completed over the week.Once the idea had been approved by the editor of YorkMix, I had to source interviewees for my story. I did this mainly through social media, however I also went out in search of people who would be relevant to the story in which I was writing. Once the interviewees were conducted, I transcribed them and found some quotes that I could use within my article. Once the copy was completed and I had sourced relevant images, I set the story up within WordPress and the YorkMix team would review the story and decide whether it was to be published.All 5 of the articles that I wrote for YorkMix were published, which was a large achievement for myself. They also gained a large traction and engagement on social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. You can read all these articles on my Featured Posts section on my Linked In profile.
