DFB was founded in 1990 as a private Texas-based pharmaceutical investment and development company. I joined in 1993 and was part of a small entrepreneurial management team who helped build multiple global pharma businesses from $18M in sales in 1992 to $400M by 2010 realizing over $1.5B in value through sale of major operating companies in 2012.One of our businesses, Phyton Biotech, was retained as a strategic asset and helped us identify a proprietary particle engineering technology developed by CritiTech. That led to partnership and formation of NanOlogy (www.nanology.us) in 2015 to develop an intratumoral large surface area microparticle (LSAM) therapeutic drug platform to improve the treatment of solid tumors.We have now progressed the NanOlogy drug platform through an extensive clinical program in multiple therapeutic areas including genitourinary, gastrointestinal, lung, and dermal cancers completing 7 clinical trials across 6 solid tumors in > 175 patients with minimal toxicity and promising tumor response and immunomodulation. Our clinical research is now aimed at combining our intratumoral LSAM investigational drugs with systemic IO agents to improve response without adding toxicity as suggested in our preclinical and earlier clinical studies.We plan to identify partners to advance our platform through regulatory approval to patients in need.
