This adult literacy program serves all of Hendricks County and provides one-on-one tutoring, GED classes and English as a Second Language training. Volunteers are encouraged to contact us to add their skills and expertise to this program. Almost 20 percent of adults in the Indianapolis area read at or below a sixth grade level. The most accurate predictor that a child will not graduate from high school is if his or her parents can't or don't read.
