In the 21st century lived a Jill-of-many-trades who loved to tell stories and work with others to make learning matter. She worked on regional and national projects to help make education relevant, including teacher leadership, evolving science standards, constructivism, inquiry, project-based learning and technology integration. One of her accomplishments was working with a team to develop the Iowa World Language standards, impacting tens of thousands of students in Iowa yearly. When one quest was finished, she looked for new challenges, knowing that she grew in places where ideas were questioned and change was welcome.This learner loved her family, a good cup of coffee or an occasional microbrew, a garden, and books. She traveled through a series of quests, gaining a master's degree along the way. Titles changed, but her aim remained the same: helping others learn in a way that was connected to their life experience.
