Rose Community Foundation works to enhance the quality of life of the Greater Denver community through its leadership, resources, traditions and values.At Rose Community Foundation, I collaborate with staff in developing and implementing strategies for effective and efficient processes and information flow. I lead the Foundation’s efforts to create a positive work environment and manage a variety of Foundation-wide projects.Operations- Coordinates employee-related processes including the creation and updating of job descriptions, the onboarding process, personnel manual, professional development and employee relations. - Promotes teambuilding and a positive work environment through internal staff communications such as training, small group work and other communications tools.- Coordinates strategic planning efforts, follow-through and progress monitoring.Information- Manages systems (i.e., FIMS, Sharefile, DonorCentral, Foundant GLM) including procurement and upgrades, process development and documentation, troubleshooting and training and assuring data quality and maintenance.- Manages information technology functions including troubleshooting, triage, upgrades and purchasing, inventory and documentation, user configuration, and training.- Develops, improves and documents processes such as grants, orientation, events, scanning, records retention and destruction, and individual employees’ processes. - Organizes knowledge management efforts including outcomes measurement, and knowledge-sharing and information flow amongst and between employees.

The League of Women Voters of Denver, a nonpartisan, grassroots organization, has fought since the 1930s to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through education and advocacy.After my term on the board of the League of Women Voters Denver expired, I continued to serve on the Fund Development Committee. The Committee developed and implements an annual fund development plan. Currently, the Committee is planning a fundraising event for the League of Women Voters of Denver Education Fund - the first event in several years.

I served on the board of the League of Women Voters Denver and the League of Women Voters Denver Education Fund. I was the Finance (fund development) Chair and member of the Budget Committee. In addition to shaping the League's fundraising strategy as leader of the Fund Development Committee, I led the charge to shape a strategic plan for the board.

I served as Secretary Pro-Tem for the League of Women Voters Denver while the current board Secretary was out of town for the summer.

Revision International's purpose is to create a network of sustainability projects on a community level around the world. Each project is the initiative of the community - ignited through our work - and supported by a network of people striving to develop sustainable communities. I served as vice president and chair of the Fundraising/Marketing Committee as well as chair of the Board Development Committee.

NPower Michigan is a statewide nonprofit striving to put technology knowhow in the hands of other nonprofits.During the agency’s startup year, I served as the Training Manager and developed the training program’s logic model, policies, and procedures from the ground up. My role was to oversee the training process through from beginning to end. This included marketing, curriculum development, registration, delivery, and evaluation.As NPower has evolved, my job changed to include marketing and communications. I managed multiple projects, membership, the website, marketing, and technology planning consulting. As a technology consultant and trainer, I learned and used a lot of different desktop applications and systems.

While working a full-time job, I picked up part-time work at the Bath & Body Works store in Westland, Michigan.As an advisor, I was responsible for assisting customers by introducing them to new products and explaining the features and benefits of products that they showed interest in. I operated the register to both sell customers the products they've chosen and handle returns and exchanges. I handled store upkeep including restocking products on the shelves, straightening items and general housekeeping. I also helped with floorset projects, setting up new displays and following the corporate headquarter's standards for new displays.

Brookfield Clinics is an outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinic located at Garden City Hospital.I worked in cooperation with the Clinic's president to handle all business functions at this mental health clinic. I supervised all clerical staff and office procedures. I coordinated quality assurance and customer service projects for clinical and clerical teams. I managed all accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as supply inventory and facilities management.

I served as an intern in the Youth Services program, part of the Volunteer Services department during graduate school. When I joined, the youth program was a new venture for this chapter. Having volunteered extensively in the youth services department at the Hoosier Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross in college, I had experience running youth programs within the Red Cross. At the Southeastern Michigan Chapter, I recruited and trained adult volunteers for the Youth Leadership Retreat attended by 50 youth. I developed an evaluation plan and created marketing materials for the program. I worked with all departments including Disaster Services, Health and Safety Services, facilities and marketing. During my time there, I also took many disaster training classes to better understand the larger role that the American Red Cross plays in the community.My proudest achievement at this chapter was designing and running a workshop, "Youth LEADership: Creating a Comfortable Atmosphere". The workshop was designed to train adult staff and volunteers in how to work with youth volunteers. I designed the concept and curriculum, recruited participants for the workshop, planned the entire day-long event, and taught the course.
