I work on up-scaling of cutting edge Na-ion battery technology for an industrial partner.My duties cover electrode engineering, cell design, process optimisation and project management.

In effort to meet our customers needs, I lead projects on innovative research instrumentation, particularly highly specialized electrochemical cells, including battery test cells.My responsibilities cover whole process starting with gathering and clarification of product technical requirements; through concept development, design and building prototypes, to validation and managing product throughout the Product Lifecycle.On a daily basis I have to ensure effective and clear communication between customers, internal stakeholders, manufacturing team and external collaborators.

Responsible for managing and development of Battery & Supercaps, Screen-Printed Electrodes, and Materials sections. I prepared market research, concept designs, prototype testing and followed with product launch. The products mainly involve innovative research instrumentation, particularly electrochemical cells for application in various in situ measurements.

Working on the project titled: "New concept rechargeable batteries for large-scale energy storage" under supervision of Prof. Serena Margadonna. The project was partly funded by Gervaux Ltd.Key responsibilities: - Synthesis and characterization of various anode and cathode materials, including metal alloys, carbons and organics- Developing innovative technologies: Na-S and 'anode-free' (metal plating) batteries - Expertise in characterization techniques: SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, BET, XPS, Raman - In situ techniques such as Raman and Synchrotron X-ray diffraction- Work with various cell types, including coin cells, Swagelok-type cells and pouch cells- Electrochemical characterizations (GC, CV, EIS, three electrodes setups etc.)- Writing reports for sponsoring company- Presenting results and prospects on international conferences, company meetings and local seminars- Analysis of costs and commercialization feasibility of various solutions- Project management - Supervision over 3rd year students and support with their projects
