Surfing as a Science! My mission as the Professor of Surf Engineering and Science is to create and implement cutting edge technology to test, refine, and innovate water sports equipment (e.g. surfing and foiling). As the Director of the Institute for Innovative Materials (IIM) I will lead the transition of two existing research groups (Intelligent Polymer Research Institute IPRI and Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials ISEM) into the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences from the previous entity, the Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM)Summary: I am a senior leader with wide-ranging experience in leading small and large teams, change-management, supervision and mentoring, project management, manufacturing, research, stakeholder engagement, development of reporting frameworks and organisation process improvement.
