I create customized online learning environments for a Java/XSL-based Learning Management System. My mission is to do what it takes to accomplish the client's goals with efficiency and quality.- Lead designer of a major framework for English and Literature courses, used for over 40 individual products, and involving the real-time processing of thousands of XML documents representing assignments, literary works, and student data.- Designed several other frameworks and maintained earlier products, including products for teaching Mathematics, Biology, and Health.- Specialized in designing server to server web services with custom XML formats and integration of Flash applications as well as adapting industry standard tools like SCORM, Javascript, and HTML to the needs of specific product features. - Services provided to Concentric Sky include training/mentoring other developers, reviewing designs, estimates, and proposed code, and providing analysis to clients on project needs and direction.

Created customized online learning environments in a Java/XSL based CMS. Lead designer of four frameworks for educational courseware which now support 50+ individual products. Led teams of developers, testers, and content specialists in bringing projects through specification, design, implementation, and deployment stages. Worked closely with and coordinated customers, stake holders, and other development teams to ensure maximum success for clients. On a technical level, these projects involved processing in real time many hundreds of XML files in both standardized formats and custom formats through a combination of XSL, Java, Javascript, and custom framework code. For custom formats, designed XML languages based on the need to be flexible, easy to understand for content authors, and to support powerful and intuitive automated systems.

Responsible for configuring simulations of servers running a variety of workloads, including databases. Activities include regular installation and operation of Windows and Linux operating systems and server software, operation of simulation software, troubleshooting unexpected results, and documentation of procedure.
