About Marcio Lima

I started my offshore’s career as Mechanical Trainee at Transocean in 2001 onboard the Sedco 710. During this training period I have worked as Painter, Roustabout, Motorman, Assistant Rig Mechanic and Rig Mechanic. In 2004 I joined the EMPAC Coordinator position. I was lucky in the fact that I have worked with very experienced Maintenance Supervisors and I could learn a lot about Maintenance administration. I have had the opportunity to become familiar with regulations and standards of Petroleum’s Industry due to attending a lot of external Audits. Also during this time I have studied Petroleum and Gas Management at Universidade Estácio de Sá.In my current position of DMS Operator, I have gained experience in power plant generation, propulsion system and ballast control. During this time I have faced some emergency situations onboard that have sharpened my ability to make quick decisions and maintain clear communication under pressure.
