Plug2Teams is a Spanish telecommunications startup aiming to unify business voice communications under a single platform using Microsoft Teams, I served as a co-founder and IT manager.The company facilitates the connection of the company's Microsoft Teams to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) within minutes, enabling users to make and receive calls from and to landlines and mobiles worldwide.With its proprietary telecommunications infrastructure and fully automated cloud technology, Plug2Teams became one of the first solutions of its kind globally.

Hired to lead the largest technological change in the company since its foundation, my job consisted of completely restructuring the company's IT department. From hiring and managing teams of programming, quality control, UX/UI designers, DevOps, and scrum master, to defining and implementing the project to rebuild the company's renowned car rental comparison system, equipping it with capabilities to operate globally, adding mobile application, white label, and APIs for integrations with other systems, aiming to expand the business through strategic collaborations with major companies in the travel industry.With a team distributed across five time zones, I successfully defined and implemented the working methodology of the IT department and the internal processes of each team, allowing us to achieve all project objectives in half the time envisaged by the board of directors.Other responsibilities of my role included:- Defining short and long-term product strategies to meet business objectives set by the board and the CEO, to whom I reported directly.- Solving or collaborating in the resolution of any problem, whether technical, personnel, processes, or systems, that could interfere with the product development roadmap.- Approving new technologies, UX/UI strategies, and any system updates.- Managing technical and human resources, promoting personal development and team well-being to ensure optimal performance and talent retention.Based in the city of Brisbane, Australia, VroomVroomVroom is the largest car rental comparison platform in Australia and New Zealand, and one of the largest in the world. In my role as project manager, my duties were to define the technical roadmap of the products, to assign and monitor the team's tasks, removing obstacles to ensure the products' updates according to the established schedule. Additionally, I defined the work methodology of the teams, carried out personnel management (including hiring processes and performance analysis), and reported to the company's CTO.Over these years, we created a product that would eventually win several innovation awards at both the Spanish and European levels for being the first telecommunications product to make and receive phone calls to landlines and mobile phones worldwide through the web browser. Our technology drew the attention of Google and Microsoft, who visited us at our office in Barcelona.Numintec is a pioneer in Cloud Computing technology in telephony. We develop solutions for all types of incoming and outgoing communications within an organization, from SMS and fax deliveries (still a common service in the mid-2000s) to Virtual Switchboards and 100% cloud Contact Centers through web applications and an extensive collection of APIs that allow integration with client systems, as well as statistics and real-time call monitors that could be accessed from any device, whether computers, tablets, or smartphones.

Upon assuming leadership of the development team, my role was to assist my colleagues in fulfilling their tasks by following code quality standards, as well as defining and improving system architectures and their databases, developing internal libraries used by programmers, and planning system upgrades.
