Supervisor, Hr Operations
CurrentResponsible for leading and supporting regional Human Resource operations including but not limited to, employee data management, benefits administration, employee relations (including performance management and progressive discipline), HR policy development, and HR system management (Workday). I am responsible for leading a group of human resource professional across Canada ensuring that all issues, concerns, and department goals are addressed in a timely manner. A key role of mine is to provide guidance and direction to leaders on all employee relations matters and ensure ongoing compliance with Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Code, and all applicable employment legislation. Always demonstrates Human Resource Professional Practices; displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.• Manage, direct, and develop HR Operations staff in Calgary, Mississauga and Winnipeg terminals, including performance management activities.• Provide training and leadership to the global HR team in the areas of Workday, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, service standards, wellness, employee recognition program, etc.• Manage day-to-day performance management and progressive discipline issues as they arise. Counsel leaders on actions required and draft appropriate paperwork as needed.• Monitor and manage volume of vacancies for regional HR staff• Ensure compliance under all applicable employment legislation: Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Code, Privacy Act, Pay Equity, etc.• Oversee HR Corporate Programs related to Scholarships and Corporate awards• Ensure that the HR Operations team consistently maintains HRIS data integrity
