Lead engineer for the design and development of an advanced power electronics inverter module, managing all issues relating to design, technical content and program management. Key responsibilities included: • Concept design and package of the inverter module across multiple hybrid vehicle applications• Creation of the Engineering Work Statement, detailing all engineering and program requirements to support successful hardware delivery• Developed engineering quality documentation including FMEA, noise factor analysis and design specifications for system robustness• Co-developed vehicle assembly requirements in conjunction with vehicle plant representatives to ensure design and assembly feasibility• Created a hybrid inverter strategy for cross brand and platform commonality with respect to design, location, interfaces and technical content considering both current cycle plan activities and advanced future conceptual proposals

Led the vehicle integration of an advanced engineering powertrain project, assigning direction and program requirements to four engineers. Successful production launch of the Jaguar V8 and Ford V6 engine assemblies into the vehicle assembly plants with no unresolved engineering issues. Lead engineer responsible for managing and resolving all issues associated with the launch of heavily revised engines at both engine and vehicle assembly plants. Key responsibilities:• Production assembly feasibility and new supplier capability assessments• Resolution of manufacturing quality problems • Resolution of all vehicle plant assembly and audit issues pertaining to the engine

In support of V6 engine verification and launch for Jaguar S-Type my responsibilities included:• Generated and maintained FMEA's and Development Verification Plans to ensure engine targets and component robustness were achieved• Instruction and execution of testing validating design actions• Results and recommendations of testing and tear down documented in technical reports• Cylinder head and valve train system development This position necessitated a high level of understanding of general engine operation.

Four year apprenticeship, followed by engineering positions in quality, design, and development departments.
