Marc Kidd is a seasoned media, sports marketing and entertainment executive who became Captivate CEO in 2013. With a commitment to innovation, Kidd has secured Captivate’s position as North America’s #1 location-based video media network, invigorated the brand with screen redesign including the addition of video programming, acquired new prominent content partners, and facilitated network expansion through the acquisition of The Wall Street Journal Network-OMN.Under his leadership, Captivate’s footprint and distribution has increased to 30+ markets. Kidd has tripled the real estate sales team, developed a regional team to focus on local business and introduced Captivate Create – a self-serve platform for building tenants to celebrate employee accomplishments and milestones.Prior to Captivate, Kidd has a long history in sports media, marketing and advertising. He was President of Media Sales of Outdoor Channel Holdings where Outdoor Channel enjoyed record sales growth under Kidd’s leadership. Kidd also helped pioneer the corporate sponsorship business for college and high school sports at Host Communications where he helped create the NCAA corporate partner program, the National High School Federation corporate partner program, the Breeders Cup’s World Thoroughbred Championships, the SEC, Big 12, WAC corporate partner programs and iHigh.com.After leaving Host in 2004, Kidd became a consultant at Winnercomm where he then became COO in 2006 and President in 2007. Winnercomm was the leading provider of 3rd party produced content to ESPN and helped produce programs for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), Professional Bowling Association (PBA), Pro Polo, World of Outlaws Racing, Association of Volleyball Players (AVP), Major League Soccer (MLS), the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the Big 12, NCAA Final Four world feed, B.A.S.S. and ESPN Outdoors.
