I'm a teacher and writer from the Salinas Valley. I am currently a PhD candidate at Texas Tech University, and hold an MFA from UC Riverside. My academic work revolves around Latine and Indigenous race creation in the U.S. Southwest and the use of horror to depict social issues in literature.
