Responsible for supporting the development of new models of care to ensure that the South West has enough staff with the right skills, values, and behaviours to deliver them. The role was responsible for leading the Transformation Team that supports the development of a workforce able to work across acute and community boundaries and beyond traditional professional demarcations, with flexible skills and with the ability to adapt and innovate.Main responsibilities- System relationship management for 3 ICS’s in South West – providing strategic support and guidance on workforce issues and active member of ICS People Boards- Programme lead for U&EC and Maternity services ensuring the South West had a cohesive workforce plan in place to address service priority areas- Responsible for the Workforce Development Funding Budget of £5m and ensuring the appropriate allocation, utilisation and evaluation of this budget annually - Led the management of the CPD budget of £14m across the region and overseeing its use and reporting to HEE SW’s SMT on progress and evaluation of its impact- Led on the development of new products in the South West which included a Scenario Planning toolkit and a guide for operational management on how to address workforce issues

Responsible for business development, project oversight and employer engagement across the South West and West Midlands:Main responsibilities- Provide senior leadership and programme management on a range of high-profile consultancy commissions which includes the management and supervision of contractors and associates.- Engage with CEOs, Chairs, HR Directors and Senior Operational Managers in a wide variety of organisations to secure business and development opportunities.- Budget setting and management of Regional Delivery Plans to increase partnership involvement and bring together public, private and voluntary sector efforts.- Regular analysis and assessment of local skills issues, employer needs and national policy relating to skills development and workforce transformational change.- Act as source of advice and expertise on the workforce agenda across the region- Proactive involvement in a wide variety of networks and working groups relating to the healthcare workforce development agenda.- Lead on marketing activity regionally and provide guidance and support on national organisational marketing programmes.

Worked with senior civil servants across government departments in England, Scotland and Wales to gain commissions for programmes of work with a focus on areas including Mental Health, CAMHS, Substance Misuse and Learning Disability. Responsible for the programme management of these commissions. - Successfully delivered a comprehensive suite of products for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in England which included: - a national Core Functions framework - Interactive Induction programme for CAMHS staff - Identification and articulation of new roles- Led on the development of a Career Framework model for Psychological Therapies, as part of the IAPT DH work programme- Delivered many Health and Social Care projects including the development of Self Care Core Principles, - Learning Disability competences and an Autism Education Framework- Managed a team of 5 staff providing support in day to day management, budget management, leadership and ensuring delivery targets across the team were met
