With over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, I am a product innovator and inventor who creates and manufactures solutions that are sustainable, eco-friendly, and customer-centric. My mission is to address the pain points and needs of various industries and markets, from yard waste management to medication adherence.As the company owner and inventor of Burrito Brands Incorporated, I have developed a family of products that use porous bags for the disposal of yard waste as well as storage for gear, tools, boating and sporting equipment. My flagship product, Leaf Burrito®, is a revolutionary reusable yard debris bag that eliminates the need for single-use plastic and paper bags, reducing environmental waste. I have successfully launched and marketed this product to homeowners, landscapers, and municipalities across the country, and have received multiple awards and recognition for its design and impact. This spring I am launching my latest product, Meticap - a simple medication adherence tool that screws on to the top of 1-Clic vials, to help make taking meds safer and easier for everyone.I also own and operate two other businesses in the software and merchant processing sectors, leveraging my background in finance and computer information science. I am always looking for new opportunities and challenges to apply my skills and expertise in product innovation, invention, and manufacturing.

In 2000, on a Wednesday morning, I was attending an Oracle database class. I had been taking an antibiotic twice a day that week for a sinus infection. That morning, while feeling horrible and sleep deprived I could not remember if I had taken my morning dose. "What should I do? Should I double up or wait until my next dose?" At that moment I looked down at the time on my divers’ watch, and that was the a-ha moment. I was fidgeting with rotating bezel on my watch and came up with the idea of a dial that could be set on a prescription vial cap. I sketched it out and that is where this journey began. 24 years later, Meticap is now a reality. Meticap is a simple, medication timing cap that screws onto the top of a 1-Clic medication vial and helping to improve medication adherence. I am proud to have created this life-changing tool that offers a "no batteries, beeps, or bulbs" solution to an increasingly common and dangerous problem.Meticap = (Medication+timing+cap)

In 2014, I invented the Leaf Burrito in the front yard of my house, out of frustration from filling single-use bags with yard waste. In the course of building this business, I have developed relationships with municipal solid waste staff throughout the country, learning about all of the "pain-points" a municipality has regarding the collection and disposing of yard waste. The major concerns range from protection of sanitation workers, to clogged storm drains and the purity of the resulting compost. Leaf Burrito's design addresses each of these issues, and so many more, while simultaneously making the arduous task of yard work an easier experience for the homeowner. It is designed to last 10+ years, making it the most sustainable option for yard waste collection. In addition to residential use, landscape companies and universities worldwide have recognized the enormous benefits, while helping their bottom line and meeting sustainability goals.I am proud to say that the product has developed such a following that it is now available in Lowe's Home Improvement stores.
