Marauder Robotics develops technologies to restore and maintain balance in ocean ecosystems that have been compromised by overfishing of natural predators. Initial objective is to restore kelp forests by actively reducing sea urchin populations in impacted regions. Currently, ocean restoration organizations are manually managing urchin barrens with divers armed with hammers. Marauder Robotics is automating the diver’s efforts to reduce the restoration timeline and costs by an order of magnitude. Our efforts will accelerate ecosystem biodiversity, economic impact, and greenhouse gas/ocean acidity mitigation.
