I worked strongly in contact with the production, focusing on continuous improvement of layer etching processes and waste water treatment plant (physical and biological treatments).Development and continuous improvement of production lines for flat heat exchangers (Aerospace and Medical Business Units) following APQP Standards (Advanced Product Quality Planning), DFMEA results (Design Failure Mode and Effective Analysis) and Lean Thinking.

Under the supervision of the Head of Global Technology Department I analyzed the global status of maintenance of Performance Chemicals Division sites, talking with maintenance managers, reviewing the available data and analyzing the application of maintenance advanced techniques (Bad Actors Program, Risk Based Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, 5S,…), focusing on identification of gaps, best practices and improvement possibilities. The final result of this work is the establishing of a global maintenance improvement process based on a short assessment. In this way it will be possible to get information, assess and enhance the level of maintenance maturity for the whole division.

Under the supervision of the Chief Laboratory Manager and the R&D Manager I surveyed the production process of bitumen-styrene-butadiene compound. Therefore, I focused on the advantage of using a refiner (rotor-stator mixer) combined with the normal vertical mixer. In this way, it was possible to use a raw polymer (granular instead of powder) to obtain the same product quality with lower costs.I supervised the new process start-up, I analyzed the data and I optimized the process.
